Liz:

On this week's episode of Devil's Trap podcast, what happens when Dean gets the ODT dts?

Diana:

And do you remember that headshot from earlier this season?

Diana:

I still don't remember its name.

Diana:

Listen to me try to take on season nine trivia.

Diana:

Let's do this.

Diana:

Welcome to this week's episode of Devil's Trap podcast.

Diana:

I'm Diana.

Liz:

And I'm Liz.

Diana:

And we are at season nine, episode 23, do you believe in miracles?

Liz:

And end of the season, you sexy thing.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So, yeah.

Diana:

What you been up to, Liz?

Liz:

So today I finished a very, you know, a long journey and finished watching what we do in the shadows.

Liz:

And I want to cry because it's done.

Liz:

And I'm just sad that it's.

Liz:

There's no.

Liz:

I have no more vampire shows.

Liz:

And that's also.

Liz:

It causes me anxiety because I'm like, I need a vampire.

Liz:

What the fuck?

Diana:

Where are the vampire shows?

Diana:

That's a good question.

Diana:

I never.

Diana:

I started to watch that Reginald show and I didn't finish good.

Liz:

But I don't if this is still on.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

I don't know if they're doing new episodes or not.

Liz:

And it was cute, but it's, you know, it's not what we do in the shadows.

Diana:

No, nothing is what we do in the shadows.

Diana:

So.

Liz:

Yeah, so, I mean, I was satisfied with the ending, but I'm still not satisfied and ended because I don't want it to end.

Diana:

Yeah, I haven't watched it yet.

Liz:

Yeah, I was kind of debating, like, whether or not I saved it or not.

Liz:

Was going to save it or not.

Liz:

And then I was just like, there's nothing else to watch, so I'm going.

Diana:

To watch it anyways.

Diana:

We've been slow rolling the end of it.

Diana:

Like, I want to keep up, but I also don't want it to be over.

Diana:

So I'm kind of like, oh, we'll watch one episode.

Diana:

And we started it, like a couple weeks after the season dropped like we started.

Diana:

And I call that.

Diana:

So I'm like, I'm kind of glad it doesn't let you binge it for the finale for the final season.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yes, I know.

Liz:

I mean, I'm used to, you know, Instant Satisfaction.

Liz:

It's like, you know, the pop culture Jeopardy.

Liz:

They only did, like, the first.

Liz:

They dropped the first three episodes.

Liz:

I don't know why everybody's going to that now.

Liz:

Stop it.

Liz:

It's stupid.

Liz:

Drop the whole season.

Liz:

Stop trying to make us watch more of your content.

Liz:

We're gonna watch the same amount of hours anyways.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I kind of like it.

Diana:

I'm into it.

Diana:

I appreciate it.

Diana:

We'll see.

Diana:

But like, my stupid dating, like, what Love is blind does that.

Diana:

Or they, like, drop it in chunks.

Liz:

No.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

I don't like chunkiness.

Diana:

You don't like your shows and chunks.

Liz:

I like them to be smooth.

Liz:

I like chunky peanut butter.

Liz:

I don't.

Liz:

I'm not opposed to any kind of peanut butter smooth.

Liz:

You both have their moments.

Liz:

Texture is fine.

Liz:

I like a peanut.

Diana:

I'm big on texture in food.

Diana:

Like, I must have, like, crunchy on my sandwich, like, things like that.

Diana:

But I like.

Diana:

I mean, not crunchy peanut butter, like a crunch.

Diana:

But I am not a crunchy.

Diana:

But I could probably, because I don't.

Diana:

I just, like, started liking peanuts within, like, the last few years.

Diana:

I like peanut butter, but I don't like.

Liz:

I think also we were a smooth peanut butter house.

Liz:

I believe.

Liz:

I don't know.

Liz:

It's whatever.

Liz:

I think I like the opposite or.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Of what you grew up having to have.

Liz:

Yeah, that's.

Liz:

Whatever.

Liz:

I wasn't allowed.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yep.

Liz:

So there's that and trying to think there's any other television things of note, but.

Liz:

No, I don't.

Liz:

I don't think so.

Liz:

So what's been going on with you?

Diana:

We went to the same concert in different cities, and then Migo the Devil was amazing, and I loved it.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

Yeah, other than that, I have been just in holiday mode.

Diana:

Lots of baking and watching all of the holiday movies.

Diana:

All of that.

Diana:

So many holiday movies.

Diana:

I did watch the Lindsay Lohan one, Something about Secret, and it was fine.

Liz:

It was just like her.

Liz:

Well, it was like her movie from last year.

Liz:

Good for you, Lindsay.

Liz:

I'm glad you got a project completed.

Liz:

Good for.

Diana:

Well, she seems to be doing quite well, and I'm.

Diana:

I'm cheering for her.

Diana:

Here we go.

Liz:

Good for her.

Diana:

And then.

Diana:

Yeah, I've been watching the holiday movies and then, I don't know, like, decorating and stuff and baking.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

That's where I'm at.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

Try to not get sick because everybody.

Diana:

I'm not.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

I'm not decorating anything because I demolished a really large house this week.

Liz:

So it's kind of stupid to put Christmas lights on something that is completely gutted.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

So anyhow, we ready to do this?

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

I feel like this is.

Diana:

We've got to get into this crazy season ending.

Liz:

Crazy season Ending.

Liz:

And I sent Diana a warning before this.

Liz:

Before this episode.

Liz:

Well, mainly it's more.

Liz:

You make sure.

Liz:

So you watch the last 60 seconds and, you know, don't.

Diana:

Don't.

Liz:

Don't let that.

Liz:

You would.

Liz:

But, you know, like, make sure, like, you know, it's not over.

Diana:

They don't start getting distracted at the end.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And so this was a Season 9, Episode 23, do you believe in miracles?

Liz:

,:

Liz:

Wright.

Liz:

And the last time we saw him this season was a metafiction and it was written by Jeremy Carver.

Liz:

And the last time we saw him was a season opener.

Diana:

It's been a while.

Diana:

Bam.

Diana:

So we open with our recap with, of course, Wayward sun playing.

Diana:

And it's obviously a recap of the season.

Diana:

So, you know, everything from Gadriel and Metatron and, you know, Castiel losing his grace and getting grace and.

Diana:

And then Abaddon's downfall.

Diana:

We've got Kane and his mark and the Blade, AKA Donkey teeth, our angel war.

Diana:

And so, so, so many dead angels.

Diana:

There's quite a montage of the angel deaths in this recap intro.

Diana:

Crowley's addiction to human blood.

Diana:

And of course, we end with Gadriel being.

Diana:

Not really stabbed.

Diana:

Sliced by.

Liz:

I just said shoved.

Diana:

It's.

Diana:

It's unpleasant.

Diana:

By.

Diana:

By Dean.

Diana:

With.

Diana:

With odt.

Diana:

So, yeah, our episode picks up exactly where the past one left off.

Diana:

And that is with.

Diana:

Which makes me like, did they do to be continued?

Diana:

Because they should have.

Liz:

No, I don't think so.

Liz:

They would have had it in there if they did.

Diana:

They kind of should have.

Diana:

But anyways, so Sam and Castiel are trying to make.

Diana:

Have to make Dean drop the blade and pull him away because Gadreel is real bloody on the ground, but he ain't dead.

Diana:

And so Sam and Cass are upset with Dean because he went all cuckoo murder Mark of Cain, bloodthirsty Dean, and they lock him in our file.

Diana:

File.

Liz:

File dungeon.

Diana:

The file dungeon where they used to keep Crowley.

Diana:

Because they're like, you gotta stay here until we figure out what the fuck's going on, bro.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

But Dean is adamant that he is the only one who can kill Metatron.

Diana:

Yeah, he's yelling a lot, then tries to reason and then they leave.

Liz:

And they just push that file cab.

Liz:

They really do.

Liz:

They just push the file cabinets in front of him and then just think it's so funny.

Diana:

It is.

Liz:

Every time.

Diana:

It's not like insult to injury, too, like file cabinets.

Diana:

I just don't feel like Dean's a file cabinet kind of guy.

Diana:

Yeah, maybe so.

Diana:

But Cat does have a point.

Diana:

And Sam agrees that, like, team kind of is their best shot to beat Metatron.

Diana:

So this kind of sucks.

Diana:

But Sam's also like, but we also have good real.

Diana:

And as he puts away and locks up o old donkey teeth, he puts.

Liz:

ODT into, like, a metal box that's just on the table again, like, why don't y'all get a safe in that bunker?

Liz:

Like, is it in the file dungeon or something?

Liz:

Like, what the hell?

Liz:

Why aren't you still just leaving on the table?

Diana:

Just chilling, just sitting out there.

Diana:

Just not.

Diana:

Not secure, really.

Diana:

And Gadreel has disappeared.

Diana:

And back in the file dungeon, Dean is puking up pink stuff and his mouth is bloody.

Liz:

Yeah, it happens.

Diana:

That's it.

Liz:

It happens to some people, you know.

Liz:

So anyhow, and then we cut from there up to heaven, where Metatron is typing.

Diana:

Of course he is.

Diana:

And Neil, his angel associate, is talking to him, and he will not.

Diana:

Metatron won't answer until Neil calls him God.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

So.

Diana:

And Neil is just wanting to know if this is a new handbook for angels.

Diana:

And Metatron's like, nope, I'm writing a story.

Diana:

It's full of love.

Diana:

And he was like, like, the Notebook.

Liz:

I love the Notebook.

Liz:

The Notebook's my favorite movie.

Diana:

And Madonna's like, no, no.

Diana:

So.

Diana:

And he needs help picking his most pathetic outfit, so.

Diana:

Which is kind of a weird ask.

Diana:

But Neil just wants to show off his brand new intercom system that allows for.

Diana:

On angel radio.

Diana:

And it blocks other voices.

Diana:

So only Metatron's voice will be heard on angel radio.

Liz:

Yep.

Liz:

And so he sets it up, and we see Hannah and a bunch of angels hearing all his reverb, and it's just like, he's a high school principal.

Liz:

And that is what this reminds me of.

Liz:

It's like a scene from Greece.

Liz:

And I expect that.

Diana:

That is what it did sound like.

Diana:

For real.

Diana:

You're like, okay, we got the announcements.

Diana:

The announcements.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

But Metatron's not happy with the amount of reverb going on.

Diana:

He.

Diana:

He mocks it with a reference to Lou Gehrig, which, according to the Internet, is when Lou Gehrig announced his retirement from baseball, there was a lot of reverb.

Liz:

Well, and then also people, you know, no, no.

Liz:

Lou Gehrig, Eric.

Liz:

That became a thing.

Liz:

No.

Liz:

Okay.

Liz:

You're young and whatever.

Liz:

So that was a thing.

Liz:

And I'm glad.

Liz:

I like that you had to look it up.

Liz:

That makes me happy.

Diana:

That you did.

Diana:

I also asked babe, and he had no idea.

Diana:

You know, I'm like, what is.

Diana:

What's.

Diana:

What's the relationship between Luke Erik and Reverb?

Diana:

He's like, I have no idea.

Liz:

Well, so, you know, he basically tells everyone that he is going on a trip and closing heaven's doors temporarily.

Liz:

Just begs the question, is heaven open for everybody or just for these angels?

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

They don't tell us.

Diana:

It'd be nice to know, like, are.

Liz:

People still in the void going, ah.

Diana:

Screaming.

Liz:

Yeah, screaming.

Liz:

Screaming to the void all the time.

Diana:

But, yeah, no, apparently we are not going to find out that mysterious answer, which would be good to know at this point in time.

Liz:

It seems important.

Liz:

It just seems like an important thing that nobody cares about.

Diana:

Yes, it does.

Liz:

Like, if there is more people, like there's more human souls than there are angels by now that are like, screaming in the Void.

Liz:

People die all the time.

Diana:

Yes, a lot of people die all the time.

Diana:

It's a lot.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

More than the angels, for sure.

Diana:

So it's a weird, weird, weird plot point to not address.

Diana:

It's not plot point, but I guess it's a concept.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

Either way, I don't know.

Diana:

But he's gonna explain everything when he gets back.

Diana:

And they reopen, so it's fine.

Diana:

And so down in Earth, Sam and Cass are driving Castiel's car to go.

Diana:

So I guess they went and got it at some point because remember last episode?

Liz:

They left.

Diana:

They left it behind.

Diana:

And I was like, oh, cool.

Diana:

They.

Diana:

So at some point they went and got his car.

Diana:

That's.

Diana:

That's convenient.

Diana:

Good call, because.

Diana:

And they find a very, very bloody Ford and Gadriel laying on the ground in the woods.

Diana:

And so Cas insists on healing him despite him.

Diana:

Like, no, I'm don't want, you know, don't want you to use up your grace cast.

Diana:

And they're like, no, no, we're gonna heal you.

Diana:

And you have to tell us what the fuck Metatron's doing.

Diana:

So.

Diana:

And he's just like, afraid humanity.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And so what, Cass boops him?

Liz:

And then Gadriel asks Cass if he could hear Metatron, and we get a very, like, a look on Sam's face.

Liz:

So apparently Cass didn't tell him about Meta on the PA system.

Diana:

That's weird, right?

Liz:

Yeah, I think that's.

Liz:

That's a weird thing to not.

Liz:

To not share with your teammates.

Diana:

You think you'd be like, ooh, because they were been driving by the Way.

Diana:

Like this is right now.

Diana:

Metatron.

Diana:

Metatron's talking to angels right now in my head.

Liz:

I mean, how could you not share that?

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I mean, I guess.

Diana:

I mean, I guess if you're.

Diana:

If you weren't an angel or.

Diana:

And you weren't talking to Sam, who knows about the angel radio?

Diana:

If you were to be like, had you got this voice in my head.

Liz:

Yeah, that could be something else.

Diana:

That's a different conversation.

Diana:

But still.

Diana:

But they.

Diana:

These two are aware.

Diana:

It's.

Diana:

You can talk about it.

Diana:

Well, now we cut to Crowley's massage.

Diana:

That reminded me, I really want to go get a massage.

Liz:

Yeah, I need one.

Liz:

My neck hurts so much.

Liz:

So.

Liz:

But he does not care for the fact that his masseuse has an opinion.

Liz:

And she is sharing a lot of them.

Diana:

She has a lot of opinions, and he carries his stress in his shoulders, apparently.

Diana:

Anyways.

Diana:

And she's just commenting on that.

Diana:

Demons, you know, just want some direction.

Diana:

Since you've defeated Abaddon.

Diana:

So apparently he ain't doing.

Diana:

And he's like.

Diana:

He makes a Dr.

Diana:

Phil crack about it, and then the room just starts shaking and.

Diana:

Because apparently he's being summoned by a Winchester.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And she just creeps me out.

Liz:

She's just too much.

Liz:

There's too much breathiness happening here.

Liz:

The breathiness is just getting to me.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

It wasn't.

Diana:

It wasn't.

Diana:

It wasn't sexy breathiness when you're sharing a lot of political opinions and being breathy all at once.

Liz:

Yeah, that's.

Liz:

That's exactly how I want my pundits to be.

Liz:

So, all right, so we go from that to, Dean has summoned Crowley to the file dungeon.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Because apparently there's a cabinet in the file dungeon that just, like, has a bunch of stuff in it that they didn't secure.

Liz:

You know, you've got to keep it somewhere.

Liz:

So you keep it in the dungeon where you also keep your prisoners.

Diana:

It's real weird.

Diana:

Anyways, well, he summons Crowley and he's like, tell me what the fuck's going on.

Diana:

I can't turn this off.

Diana:

Since I killed Abaddon, I just have to kill.

Diana:

Or if I don't kill, I'm gonna puke.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

And at least.

Liz:

So there is some self awareness.

Liz:

Right?

Liz:

So Dean is finally at least admitting I may have a problem with murder.

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

And Crowley's like, yeah, it is the mark.

Diana:

The more you kill and the better you feel.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

And you just keep doing that.

Diana:

And if you stop, you, you might die, which is not reassuring.

Diana:

In any way.

Diana:

And he's like, what about Kane?

Diana:

Because he stopped.

Diana:

But Kane is a demon.

Diana:

And so Dean's like, well, maybe I should get rid of the Mark, but don't really want to because I gotta go get Meta first.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

So he's still one track mind.

Liz:

That's what all he cares about is.

Diana:

Getting Metatron, which is just very normal.

Diana:

Dean.

Diana:

Every time, like, I don't care consequences.

Diana:

I'm gonna go get the bad guy.

Liz:

I must kill the bad guy.

Diana:

Must kill the bad guy.

Diana:

I don't care if I'm not using my brain or being critical or anything.

Diana:

I'm just gonna focus.

Diana:

One track mind.

Liz:

So Dean really needs his odt, though.

Diana:

He's.

Liz:

He needs it real bad.

Liz:

And Crowley's gonna help him get his fix.

Diana:

He is.

Diana:

So they're gonna go get.

Diana:

Cause reuniting with the ODT also helps his little bit of, like, tweaker, his.

Diana:

His mark of cane tweak out his odt.

Liz:

Dts.

Liz:

It could also just be regular dts because it's been a while since he had a drink.

Liz:

I mean, it's been like a day.

Liz:

I haven't seen him take.

Liz:

He hasn't had any whiskey in there at all.

Diana:

There was no whiskey in there.

Diana:

Damn.

Diana:

So now we've got Sam.

Diana:

Cass and Gabriel are back at the bunker and they have not found.

Diana:

That ODT is gone because the box that Sam just hid it so well in, like, on the table, is gone.

Liz:

Trail is like, what's that smell?

Diana:

And it's sulfur.

Diana:

And Sam is big mad.

Liz:

I just love when people walk into my house, like, what's that smell?

Diana:

It's like, rude.

Liz:

Yours house smells like rotten eggs.

Liz:

Does it always smell like rotten eggs?

Diana:

Well, I mean, angels aren't known for their tact.

Liz:

So I'm just casket gassy.

Liz:

And that's.

Liz:

But Sam is pissed.

Diana:

Sam is big mad.

Diana:

Big mad.

Diana:

And so they start.

Diana:

I feel like there's a lot of big mad Sam in this.

Diana:

He is angry in a very.

Diana:

In a very different way than Dean's.

Diana:

Like, murder angry.

Diana:

Sam is just like pissed this whole episode.

Liz:

Sam's brother pissed?

Diana:

Yeah, he's.

Liz:

He's pissed at his brother whole episode.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

Anyways, just making sure that tone is clear here, which I'm just, you know, it's amusing.

Diana:

Not haha amusing, but amusing.

Diana:

So they're trying to call Dean's phone.

Diana:

They know he's with Crowley.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

Yeah, so.

Diana:

And Ghidriel's like, yeah.

Diana:

You know, honestly, Dean with the Mark and ODT might Might actually be our best chance against Metatron.

Liz:

And nobody's told him this either.

Liz:

So this is the first time that Gadriel is learning about the Dean has the mark of Kane too.

Liz:

Yeah, he's like, well.

Liz:

What?

Diana:

Well, he's like, oh, surprise.

Diana:

That might.

Diana:

That might work.

Liz:

Expl.

Liz:

That explains why he was trying to shab me in the stomach with a donkey jaw.

Diana:

Yeah, and he seems not very mad at him now about it, which is sure.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

But Sam's still being mad.

Diana:

He's my brother, not a bum.

Diana:

And anyways, but G's like, sorry.

Diana:

Metatron has God powers because he's got everything tied to the T.

Diana:

Angel tablet, so we've got to break that tie.

Diana:

And it's in his office.

Diana:

So let's figure out how to go do that.

Diana:

Just bold.

Liz:

That's a plan, though.

Diana:

It's a plan.

Diana:

We have a plan.

Diana:

So we cut to we find out later.

Diana:

It's like, what?

Diana:

Muncie, Indiana.

Diana:

But there's a woman walking down the street talking on her cell phone, arguing with the dude about their kid.

Diana:

And this is your everybody's reminder to have situational awareness and that it can be very dangerous to walk around on your cell phone not paying attention to your surroundings in public.

Diana:

Whether it be walking in the street or.

Diana:

Or on the sidewalk or anything like that you shouldn't.

Diana:

Or texting or anything while you're walking.

Diana:

It's dangerous because this bitch gets hit by a car, you can get hit.

Liz:

By a truck or you can get hit by me.

Liz:

You know, like one of those things can happen.

Liz:

So.

Diana:

And there's people running into.

Diana:

Running to help.

Diana:

And of course Metatron is there.

Diana:

So now we know that there's something involved with him.

Diana:

And she looks like she might be dead or close to it, but on the road we've got Dean and Crowley and they have found a pub, kind of diner.

Diana:

Pub thing.

Diana:

Anyways, it's a restaurant and Dean is going to have coffee.

Liz:

Okay.

Liz:

So he's.

Liz:

They're rolling in though with like his la.

Liz:

His backpack and the ODT in this like leather roll up satchel thing.

Liz:

And it's just a weird.

Liz:

What the.

Liz:

Like why?

Liz:

I mean, I.

Liz:

I guess it's what it has to go in.

Liz:

But like, why is it not inside the backpack?

Liz:

Like why do you have it out?

Liz:

Like, why do you got to put it on the table?

Liz:

It's like.

Liz:

It's just very strange.

Diana:

I think he has to touch it.

Diana:

He likes to touch it anyways.

Diana:

Yeah, but.

Diana:

And, and like he's just like Gonna whip the laptop out like, I just want coffee.

Diana:

And he gets shamed into ordering a burger by Crowley, which is interesting.

Diana:

But they're.

Diana:

He's searching for hints of Metatron's activity and is finding a whole, like, nothing at first.

Diana:

At all, nothing.

Diana:

And Crowley's gonna monologue about how this is how Sam and Dean drive around looking for cases and don't even notice what else is going on around them and don't they ever get tired of it?

Diana:

And blah, blah, blah, blah.

Diana:

I know.

Diana:

By the way, I'm off human blood.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And so I'm like, how did.

Liz:

He's like, I kicked human blood again.

Liz:

I'm like, so, like, did you cold turkey it?

Liz:

Did you go to human blood Anonymous?

Liz:

Hba, you know, like, and then Dean's like, do you know, do you want to.

Liz:

You want to stuff bear?

Liz:

And I'm like, what, you get a stuffed bear for kicking addictions now?

Liz:

Like, I didn't know that they were giving those out.

Liz:

Like, I thought you just got these stupid fucking chips.

Liz:

Like, if I can get, like, a stuffed bear.

Diana:

Totally different now.

Diana:

Are we talking about a taxidermy stuffed bear or a stuffed, like, teddy bear?

Liz:

What is it?

Liz:

Like, what is the stuffed bear doing?

Liz:

You know?

Liz:

So it's.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And just things that.

Liz:

Things.

Liz:

I wondered.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So anyways, we've got.

Diana:

Anyways we've got.

Liz:

So Dean's Internet.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

He's finding nothing and.

Diana:

But he's gonna turn it around because he's annoyed with Crowley's line of conversation.

Diana:

And he asks how hell is.

Diana:

And guys, like, fine.

Diana:

It's like a Swiss watch.

Diana:

And he pauses.

Diana:

He's like, it's complicated.

Diana:

And Dean's like, hell ain't complicated.

Diana:

Shower sex is complicated.

Diana:

And he is correct.

Liz:

He is correct.

Liz:

If you are my height, you should not have sex in a shower.

Liz:

That is how you end up.

Liz:

Naked on the floor, covered in blood.

Liz:

And then the EMTs have to come in, like, while you're naked on the floor.

Liz:

Like, do you want that to happen?

Diana:

Just don't do it.

Diana:

Not a height thing.

Diana:

It's just complicated.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

I know, but it's also just really, really difficult.

Liz:

Like, and especially, like, if you're short.

Liz:

Like, someone's always going to get their face full of water.

Liz:

And it's just like, it's not sexy time.

Liz:

It's just not it.

Diana:

Like in movies now I'm.

Diana:

Now I'm old enough to be, like, not sexy.

Diana:

That just looks like a pain in the ass.

Diana:

Uncomfortable.

Diana:

Not good.

Diana:

Anyways, but he's right.

Diana:

Sh.

Diana:

Sex is complicated.

Diana:

So.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And then Dean is like, look, I can't find anything.

Diana:

We've got no smiting and no acts of.

Diana:

Acts of God.

Diana:

But as he's bitching about the lack of Meta's activity, we have two demons enter.

Diana:

Hand Crowley a phone, whisper to him.

Diana:

And as their food arrives.

Diana:

So Dean gets his burger.

Diana:

They just.

Diana:

They leave.

Diana:

Because the cheeseburger looks really good.

Diana:

It does.

Diana:

It's a lovely cheeseburger on a nice bun.

Diana:

I can't eat a burger with coffee, though.

Diana:

I can.

Diana:

I don't want to.

Liz:

No.

Diana:

You have to have a soda or iced tea.

Liz:

No.

Liz:

You shouldn't have coffee with your meal.

Diana:

Anyhow, so there's a video of.

Diana:

But maybe an angel had gone viral.

Diana:

And it's this gross kid commenting on his sister's butt.

Diana:

And then they.

Diana:

But the video captures a lady getting hit by a car in as.

Diana:

As it pans over.

Diana:

So they run.

Diana:

These kids run over, and they see.

Diana:

They catch Metatron, heal her on video.

Diana:

And she sits up.

Liz:

And then Metatron.

Liz:

Marv is just creepy as he looks at the camera.

Liz:

And I hate him.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And apparently.

Diana:

But during this whole thing, he whispered something in this lady's ear.

Diana:

So anyways, it was just a couple hours ago.

Diana:

And so they are gonna leave.

Diana:

And Dean leaves a burger behind.

Diana:

So this is weird.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And I'm sick in general.

Liz:

You regret that Dean leaves the burger behind.

Liz:

Like, I would walk away and then come back and take a bite out of it.

Liz:

Like, you can't just leave a whole burger there.

Liz:

Who can do that?

Diana:

Or get it to go.

Diana:

Box doesn't take that long.

Liz:

No.

Liz:

You eat in the car all the time.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

Like, you shouldn't.

Liz:

It's gross.

Liz:

You've got babies steering wheels all covered in grease.

Liz:

But anyhow, so we go from that to a playground.

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

And Castiel and Gabriel have arrived there.

Diana:

And apparently, this is the portal to heaven.

Diana:

And it's guarded by two of Metatron's most loyal angels.

Diana:

It's a little girl swinging on the swings and her mom, who's not really watching her.

Diana:

And apparently, they were literally recruited by Gidreel.

Diana:

And that was really clever.

Diana:

I enjoyed this.

Diana:

And they are unsure, though, how they're gonna get past them.

Diana:

And Cass makes a wookie reference that Gadriel does not get.

Diana:

I appreciated it.

Diana:

Took me.

Diana:

It took me a second.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

But it's kind of sad, though, that he just got all this booped into his head and he didn't actually get the joy of watching The Star wars movies, like, it's kind of like the point, you know?

Liz:

So, I mean, but at least he gets.

Liz:

You know, he gets references now.

Diana:

Yeah, but you're right.

Diana:

You don't get the joy of the entertain of unfolding.

Liz:

You know, like the info.

Liz:

Like, the digesting of it.

Liz:

It's just there.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So as they.

Diana:

They walk up and.

Diana:

And the little girl notices, and we be that we have Gadriel approaching with a cuff, handcuffed Castiel.

Diana:

And they're like, hey, the portal's closed.

Diana:

Sorry.

Diana:

But Gadriel makes a really good case.

Diana:

He's like, duh.

Diana:

I know that obviously, but who the do you think sent me to go get Castile?

Diana:

Duh.

Diana:

So, yeah, Pura.

Liz:

What kind of name is Pura?

Liz:

Actually, it means fruitful and a character in Zelda.

Diana:

In what?

Liz:

Zelda.

Diana:

Oh, okay.

Diana:

There you go.

Diana:

I got another.

Diana:

All right, well, in the meantime, we've got Dean and Crowley.

Diana:

I've now arrived at the Miller's trailer in the RV trailer park where Sam is waiting for him, who makes a crack about I don't really need a demon for clues.

Diana:

Not wrong, but basically, the miracle lady's gone.

Diana:

Sam already talked to her.

Diana:

And Dean's like, not what you think.

Diana:

But I'm also not gonna explain.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

D Makes it all about himself.

Liz:

And then Sam just him out.

Diana:

So gross.

Diana:

And he's like, your real friends are helping.

Diana:

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

Diana:

That anyways.

Diana:

And Dean's just like, they.

Diana:

Dean's trying to defend himself because good real did take.

Diana:

You know, did kill Kevin.

Diana:

But Sam's like, yeah, but also, it's all kind of your fault that you're the one that invited him in in the first place.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

You tricked me.

Liz:

I have PTSD because I see myself killing Kevin all the time.

Liz:

Like, don't pull.

Liz:

Don't throw the Kevin on me.

Liz:

This is all on you.

Liz:

And Sam just keeps rising above.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

But at the same time, Sam also does acknowledge that you are the best shot at us killing Metatron.

Diana:

So there we go, dude.

Diana:

Think.

Diana:

I know.

Diana:

And I'm gonna take my best shot, no matter the consequences.

Diana:

It's.

Diana:

And Sam's like, yeah, I know, but we're gonna do it together.

Diana:

Ha.

Diana:

And the next.

Diana:

Then they know what next step Metatron was taking because that's what he whispered to this lady.

Diana:

So now they are going to go after the next step.

Diana:

What?

Diana:

And, like, Crowley's trying to be all snarky about this, but Dean's just like, bye.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And then Crowley said he's getting Winchestered, which I think means that you die.

Liz:

But, you know, whatever.

Diana:

It's not getting.

Diana:

He's not dying.

Diana:

He's just getting, like, you know, getting.

Liz:

Winchester means he gets screwed over by them and gets killed.

Liz:

But, yeah, so now we go to the sandbox, which, you know, that's an American thing, you know, in Europe.

Liz:

Like, it's a sand pit, really.

Diana:

Sand pit.

Diana:

Sounds much more ominous.

Liz:

It does.

Liz:

But, you know, I also.

Liz:

So they.

Liz:

I was also reading up on this because I.

Liz:

I don't know why I had to go down a rabbit hole about sandboxes when I saw this.

Liz:

ame in popularity in the late:

Liz:

But, you know, now a lot of people don't put sand in them because raccoons can go in there and like.

Liz:

Like, spread disease.

Liz:

And cats use them as litter boxes.

Diana:

Yeah, that was the name.

Diana:

That was the problem.

Diana:

Like, we always had to have them with, like, a lid because, yeah, lids are important.

Liz:

Otherwise, your kids are just playing a cat.

Liz:

Shit and raccoon.

Liz:

Whatever.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

It's not.

Diana:

Not cute.

Diana:

We had one, and it was, like, that green one that shaped like a turtle.

Diana:

And then the shell cover.

Diana:

We had one of those.

Diana:

I like my sandbox coming.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Now I'm just like, if I had a child, would I throw them in a bunch of dirt?

Liz:

I don't.

Liz:

It just seems like something to clean.

Diana:

I mean, yes, but no.

Diana:

No.

Liz:

I guess that's just children in general.

Liz:

It's just something to clean.

Liz:

So in the sandbox, they make the sigils to go into heaven.

Diana:

Guess which is pretty cool because they get a big old cloud of smoke.

Diana:

So they're.

Diana:

They're convincing work.

Diana:

Get a cloud of smoke, and Gadreel and Cass step into it, and they come out of the cloud into an elevator that opens to Ingrid saying, oh, well done.

Diana:

We got word that y'all were coming, and it's her and Hannah standing there, and they are going to escort both of them to Metatron's office.

Diana:

Nope.

Diana:

It was all fake.

Diana:

They're both going to cells.

Diana:

They're in.

Diana:

They're in heaven's jail.

Liz:

Well, Jessica Jill's worst nightmare, you know, to be back.

Diana:

I feel bad for him.

Liz:

He's like, I was trying so hard to get out of this.

Liz:

Now these bitches just left me in here.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So now we've got Marv in a homeless encampment, and he gets recognized fairly quickly by this woman, and she wants him to meet her friend George.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And because he performed.

Diana:

Because he performed miracles.

Diana:

And it's his burden that he accepts.

Diana:

Because Marv is gross.

Liz:

That's what he says.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

So Marv boops away his diabetes, which I think would solve healthcare.

Liz:

So let's go with this.

Liz:

And booping away diabetes sound sounds like a great plan, but I can't.

Liz:

You can't afford insulin, so.

Liz:

But then he fills his canteen up with more booze, which I think kind of like, well, you just cured his diabetes and now you're giving him booze again.

Diana:

Like, and now you're contributing to his alcohol.

Liz:

You're just making the cycle happen.

Liz:

Like, you're just gonna have to cure him with diabetes again.

Liz:

Unless, like, you like, did a permanent diet.

Liz:

Like, if you could just like, cut off, like, no D.

Liz:

Like now where you're like, talking even better.

Liz:

Like, now you cured diabetes.

Liz:

Right, so then I can just have all the ices that I want, right?

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I don't know how.

Liz:

Sucking up that corn syrup.

Diana:

We need more explanation of the boot.

Diana:

The Boop cure.

Diana:

Boop cures, please.

Liz:

Do we have labs done afterwards?

Diana:

Boop cure lab work.

Diana:

Anyway.

Diana:

Was that where you find it?

Diana:

More about your occult blood.

Liz:

That's what Quest Labs wants you to know about your occult blood.

Diana:

So, yeah, so we've got then this redhead dude.

Liz:

Yeah, I just started calling.

Liz:

I just called him Ginger the whole time.

Diana:

Ginger.

Diana:

Ginger.

Liz:

We're so terrible.

Diana:

Ginger.

Liz:

It's both blonde at the moment.

Diana:

It is.

Diana:

And then.

Diana:

And he's like, hey, that guy's a fraud.

Diana:

And Marv's like, how am I a fraud?

Diana:

I'm not really even offering anything.

Diana:

Just love, hope, and occasional miracles.

Diana:

Anyways.

Diana:

But this Ginger is just like, no, he's an angel, AKA Metatron.

Diana:

He's not one of you.

Diana:

And he was just a petty ass angel that pursued power and now is trying to rule all the angels with iron thumb.

Liz:

Brr.

Diana:

Which, but to a group of humans standing around, sounds cuckoo bananas.

Liz:

It surely does.

Diana:

And Meta is pissed by this, though.

Diana:

And he's about to stab this motherfucker in the middle of this encampment.

Diana:

Which seems like an odd choice.

Liz:

Yeah, I wouldn't.

Liz:

But then it's not necessary because the people start coming to his defense.

Diana:

Yes, he gets bomb.

Diana:

Ginger gets bonked on the head real bad.

Diana:

After he gets.

Diana:

After he calls Metatron an abomination.

Diana:

Yeah, she's like that lady, lady miracle lady pops up.

Diana:

She's like, no, he's a messiah.

Diana:

And yeah, he gets Bonked on the head.

Diana:

And then they.

Diana:

Somebody throws a blanket over his body so they can, like, party.

Diana:

What the.

Liz:

The is this.

Liz:

Why is this blanket here?

Liz:

I mean, and I understand.

Liz:

Understand the purpose.

Liz:

It's like.

Liz:

Did Metatron put this as part of his plot that, like, it's purposely.

Liz:

He left this tarp here, so we knew that you were gonna have to do this.

Liz:

I did see in a true crime show today where someone did bring a tarp to their murder site.

Liz:

So, I mean, it is possible that that could happen.

Liz:

But so when they're, like, beating him and then eventually stabbing him because meta gives them the blade to go through, like, they stab him through the blanket.

Liz:

So all the light is just contained.

Liz:

Conveniently contained underneath the blanket.

Diana:

It also just, like.

Diana:

It's very upsetting.

Diana:

Just another upsetting reminder of what mob mentalities can do.

Diana:

But that's okay.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

You know, I love a mob.

Liz:

I'm a joiner.

Diana:

All right?

Liz:

So.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

And.

Liz:

But he's just, like, smiling while watching and just stop.

Liz:

I hate it.

Liz:

I hates it so much.

Liz:

Stop smiling.

Diana:

They really, really up for me.

Liz:

Okay.

Liz:

All right, so we're back to.

Liz:

And this is where I originally, in my notes, put the ODT DT joke.

Liz:

So I'm going to say it again.

Liz:

Dean has a ODT dt.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

He's got to touch.

Diana:

He's got to touch it.

Liz:

And he's just shaking.

Liz:

He's just shaking.

Liz:

And maybe he should get a flask of what.

Liz:

What Metatron give out.

Diana:

So they are going to go to this homeless encampment where Metatron is.

Diana:

And.

Liz:

Well, first we get to.

Liz:

We get to see Trunk.

Diana:

Yes, we do get a brief moment of Trunk.

Diana:

And we have them.

Diana:

Dean wanting to suddenly address the last few months without actually addressing anything.

Diana:

And Sam's just like, no, no, no.

Liz:

I'm doing this now.

Diana:

We're not gonna do this.

Diana:

Before we find anything else to fight about, let's get this bitch.

Diana:

And they're like, cool.

Diana:

And then Dean punches Sam in the face and knocks him out.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

So no Dean, no.

Liz:

Why?

Liz:

Why?

Liz:

Like, your bro was like, let's get this.

Liz:

He was, like, on.

Liz:

And then he just leaves his brother pass out on the road behind, baby.

Liz:

Just in the middle on the ground.

Diana:

He's gonna get ants.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

That's rude.

Diana:

So rude.

Diana:

I put him in the car.

Diana:

Anyways, well, Castiel, up in heaven jail is trying to reason with Hannah that, like, obviously, Metatron set me up.

Diana:

And Gadriel is proof of this.

Diana:

Duh.

Diana:

Look, he's helping me.

Diana:

Why would.

Diana:

Why Would that happen otherwise?

Liz:

And she's gonna learn sarcasm for an angel?

Liz:

And she was like, yeah, right.

Liz:

Like, he.

Liz:

Like, what?

Liz:

He set all this up?

Diana:

Huh?

Liz:

And, like, why am I gonna trust this angel who only thought of himself since the garden?

Liz:

And I'm like, gadriel has been in prison for, like, millennia.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

Like, I don't.

Liz:

Why was he selfish?

Liz:

Like, he was stuck in, like, a.

Liz:

In a hole in there.

Liz:

Like, I mean, what else was he supposed to think about?

Liz:

Did you give him anything to think about besides himself?

Diana:

Yeah, I don't think he was thinking about.

Liz:

Did you give him some.

Liz:

Some ways to help his community while he was stuck in a cell?

Diana:

Probably not.

Diana:

Doesn't sound like it.

Diana:

So.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

And they want a chance.

Diana:

They want her to give them a chance to prove this.

Diana:

So Dean is now entering this encampment, and he is go.

Diana:

It's basically kind of guarded by these two persons that he.

Diana:

That Marv first interacted with.

Diana:

And he finds out that Metatron is in this bike industrial building behind the encampment.

Diana:

He's praying for their forgiveness.

Diana:

4 and then, like, shrug and point toward bloody fabric on the ground.

Diana:

Oh, he is praying for their forgiveness.

Diana:

For mob murder.

Diana:

Okay, cute.

Diana:

That he.

Diana:

That he encouraged.

Diana:

Right, right, right, right, right.

Diana:

And who the is he praying to if he's supposed to be God?

Diana:

That's that.

Liz:

Good point.

Liz:

Good point.

Liz:

He's praying to himself.

Liz:

I think he's praying to himself.

Liz:

Probably.

Diana:

He probably is.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

But they also knew who Dean was.

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

Because they were expecting him.

Liz:

Yep.

Diana:

They knew who he was.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So good.

Diana:

Drill is gonna have a breakdown.

Diana:

He's losing.

Diana:

He cannot handle this at all.

Diana:

This.

Diana:

All he'd have done is dream of being of redemption.

Diana:

And Castiel insists that he has been redeemed.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Like, dude, you're good.

Liz:

You're good now.

Liz:

Right?

Diana:

Like, but Gadriel, no, he.

Diana:

He needed to do his mission.

Diana:

It's protecting those who would not and could not protect themselves, like humans.

Diana:

And no one's bigger than that mission.

Diana:

And he has officially carved the suicide sigil into his chest.

Liz:

It's a very nice chest, too.

Liz:

And he did that with no mirror or reference picture.

Liz:

Like, he didn't have to, like, draw it on the ground to be like, okay, and then how do I reverse this?

Liz:

He's just like.

Liz:

He did it with, like, a rock or whatever that tile was a rock.

Diana:

Chip or whatever that he's going to stab himself with, too.

Diana:

Quite impressive, honestly.

Diana:

And, yeah, he's like, cassiel, get to the side.

Diana:

Far side of Your cell.

Diana:

And they tell Hannah to run.

Diana:

And he stabs himself, goes boom, kaboom.

Liz:

But his body remains.

Diana:

Which is weird.

Diana:

Everyone else got vaporized, right?

Liz:

I.

Liz:

I think so.

Diana:

I thought so.

Diana:

I don't.

Diana:

Maybe not.

Liz:

I mean, they had the big light come out of them because.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

The other one wasn't there where the little girl was.

Liz:

And I don't think Tessa was there, but I don't know.

Liz:

So G's body remains.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And so Dean and back.

Diana:

And so.

Diana:

So that's the big boom.

Diana:

Big boom.

Diana:

And we've got.

Diana:

Yeah, it's a pretty good way of proving their side and getting someone out of jail.

Diana:

All that, too.

Diana:

Because now Cass is.

Liz:

No, there's no jail.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

The jail is broken.

Diana:

The jail is broken.

Diana:

So Dean is not thrilled when he comes up to Metatron.

Diana:

Rightfully so.

Diana:

Metatron's like, sitting Indian style.

Diana:

He's like humble pie Jesus routine.

Diana:

Save it for someone who gives a damn byways.

Diana:

And Metatron does rightfully call out Dean's cynicism because Dean is super cynical.

Liz:

But also cynicism keeps you warm at night and just singing.

Diana:

That's it, though.

Liz:

It gets me pretty warm.

Liz:

So Dean accuses better China being burning.

Liz:

Made off with wings.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

And Metatron's like, oh, just.

Diana:

God hated all the people, you know, Hated people and didn't pay attention to them at all.

Diana:

And they all just kept wanting, thinking they should pray more.

Diana:

But he didn't even know who they were, so why.

Diana:

Why bother?

Diana:

At least, you know.

Diana:

At least I can.

Diana:

You know, I can save them.

Diana:

And he's like.

Diana:

Dean's like, what?

Diana:

With your face and everywhere.

Diana:

And what would WWMD bumper sticker?

Diana:

And Dean and Medron's like, so.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Yeah, that's right.

Diana:

Correct.

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

I am going to brand the out of this.

Diana:

I'm going to give him a brand to believe in.

Diana:

Why the fuck not?

Diana:

Why do you blame me?

Liz:

That's what humans like.

Liz:

Humans like a brand they can follow.

Liz:

And then Dean just starts his blame game, right?

Liz:

And then he takes out odt.

Liz:

And how did Meta not know that Dean had the first blade?

Diana:

That's weird, because he should have known because he is writing the story.

Liz:

He's been writing all these stories.

Liz:

So.

Liz:

But, like, has he not been writing the cane part?

Liz:

Like, has that been outside?

Liz:

Yeah, that.

Liz:

Has that.

Liz:

That whole been outside of Metatron's, like, area of influence, which maybe because it's hell, right?

Diana:

Yeah, maybe that's why.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

It is interesting so he is.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

But measuring doesn't have a question.

Diana:

He's like, you.

Diana:

If you win and I die, then what?

Diana:

You've got all these angels, like, up there.

Diana:

You've got what happens after this.

Diana:

And this is a good point, because we still don't even know if heaven is open to souls.

Diana:

Right.

Diana:

We don't have that answer as the viewer at all.

Liz:

We haven't reversed the spel that Metatron did.

Diana:

No.

Diana:

But somehow he's allowed.

Diana:

Able to allow angels back, whatever that means.

Liz:

He made a portal.

Liz:

Right.

Liz:

So, I mean, I guess, like, heaven's not fully open.

Liz:

I.

Liz:

I don't know.

Liz:

And then they have, like this.

Liz:

You know, Dean's hand won't stop shaking, and they have the disturbing First Blade frequency humming that I can't stand.

Diana:

And we find out, and Metatron shares that his friends are upstairs in that are trying to help him out.

Diana:

Are in their episode of Locked Up Abroad.

Diana:

Heaven.

Liz:

I do love that show so much.

Diana:

I know.

Diana:

I thought you'd appreciate that.

Diana:

So, yeah, it's Big Blade.

Diana:

And his douchey tribal tat may have given Dean super juice, because Dean's gonna try to stab him.

Diana:

Gets.

Liz:

And again, it's a brand, not a tattoo.

Diana:

It.

Diana:

Correct.

Diana:

Gets blocked.

Diana:

And then.

Diana:

But punches Metatron in the face.

Liz:

No, he just starts punching away.

Diana:

But then Metatron flings Dean real hard.

Diana:

So in heaven, Cass and Hannah now have taken Ingrid hostage to try.

Liz:

Yeah, Hannah's got Ingrid by the.

Liz:

By the throat now.

Diana:

And they're trying to find the tablet in Metatron's office.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

Things have changed suddenly.

Diana:

Back in this industrial building, Metatron is going to fling Dean around a whole lot, able to knock the blade away.

Diana:

So now Dean doesn't have odt.

Diana:

And, yeah, it's.

Diana:

He's.

Diana:

But now.

Diana:

But now Metatron knows about taking out abaddon.

Diana:

So then he would have known about odt.

Liz:

Yeah, he would have had, like.

Liz:

I don't know.

Liz:

Okay, so.

Liz:

But Metatron is also monologuing while they're fighting through all this.

Liz:

And he's bragging that he is powered by the word of God and that.

Diana:

Dean's powered by the bone of a jackass.

Liz:

He is.

Diana:

Dean tries to, like, Jedi mind trick the.

Diana:

The blade to him again, as Sam has now made his way to the homeless encampment.

Liz:

And he pulls a gun on them.

Diana:

Yeah, they're just like, oh, I'm not gonna sit here and talk to you.

Diana:

Where the are they?

Liz:

And.

Liz:

And they.

Liz:

They respond with.

Liz:

With righteous fear.

Diana:

Him.

Diana:

I mean, and they answer.

Diana:

They get the info.

Diana:

I mean, well, Castiel in Up in Heaven has managed to find the angel tablet.

Diana:

And it was actually like.

Diana:

It was.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I thought it was kind of cool.

Diana:

It was hidden inside the typewriter.

Liz:

And it makes so much sense because he's typing out the story with the Powered by God.

Liz:

Yes.

Diana:

I liked it.

Diana:

I thought that was good.

Diana:

Well done.

Diana:

Well done.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Well, Dean does Jedi odt right as Sam finds them, but it's too late because Metatron is going to stab Dean Winchester in the chest with a Angel blade and twist it and twist it a lot.

Liz:

And Sam screams, no.

Diana:

And runs and jumps over stuff to get to Dean as they make eye contact.

Liz:

And the angel tablet falls right when Dean falls.

Liz:

So we get that.

Liz:

And then Meta's laughing.

Liz:

Then thunder's crashing.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

It's room shaken.

Diana:

It is crazy, right?

Diana:

And Metatron is about to get stabbed by Sam.

Diana:

He disappears.

Diana:

He got one.

Liz:

He fl.

Liz:

He is flapped up to heaven.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

Yeah, up in.

Diana:

Up in that office.

Diana:

Castiel is still there.

Diana:

And he's.

Diana:

Metron's like.

Diana:

And.

Diana:

And he.

Diana:

And Cass is like, by the way, Giel is dead.

Diana:

And Metatron's like, oh, well, you've broken like, now the Angel Tablet.

Diana:

Just like, only the most powerful thing in the universe.

Diana:

That's.

Diana:

That's stupid.

Diana:

Just to save Dean.

Diana:

All for one human.

Diana:

But guess what?

Diana:

He's dead, too.

Diana:

Any handcuffs?

Diana:

Cassie?

Diana:

I'll do it here.

Diana:

Not very nice.

Liz:

That's not.

Liz:

And then on Earth, Dean is telling Sam that it's better this way.

Liz:

The Mark is making him into something that he does want to become.

Diana:

And they got to get the out of here because Metatron going to come back.

Diana:

So Cass is going to.

Diana:

Is telling Metron like, look, you're not going to get away with this.

Diana:

And Metron's like, what are you talking about?

Diana:

And K's like, they're gonna figure it all out.

Diana:

And he's like.

Diana:

So Metatron starts talking about angels, because he doesn't.

Diana:

He's.

Diana:

Because he's a dick.

Liz:

Because he's Metatron.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

And so he just says, you know, they're all sheep and they won't care how they make it to the top as long as they make it.

Liz:

And he talks and talks and talks and talks.

Liz:

And he's about to stab Cass.

Diana:

Yeah, but Cass was smart and had the.

Diana:

The angel intercom on the whole time.

Diana:

Ha.

Liz:

So now all the angels have suddenly realized that they were on the wrong side.

Liz:

And they all come from Metatron Yeah, duh.

Diana:

Like, and also, like, would you just, like, even listen to these two and really take Metatron's side?

Diana:

Like, I don't know, man.

Liz:

They're.

Liz:

They're supposed to.

Liz:

You know, they're sheeple.

Liz:

Well, there's not sheeple.

Liz:

They're sheep because they're not people.

Liz:

Shangels.

Diana:

Shangels.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

So down on Earth, Dean tells Sam, but he's proud of them.

Diana:

And then he flops over like he's dying.

Diana:

It's not good.

Diana:

And Sam's crying a lot.

Diana:

There's a lot of hugging and crying.

Diana:

It's very upsetting.

Diana:

Very upsetting.

Diana:

I didn't cry, though.

Diana:

And I think it's because it was so intense and I was trying to find out what was happening.

Diana:

Anyways, so up in heaven, Castiel puts Metatron in a cell.

Diana:

And Hannah agrees that it was the right thing to do as a good leader.

Liz:

But what about your grace?

Liz:

And you're going to die if you don't fix that.

Liz:

Remind you you're dying.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

And then we have a song playing that is hard to find by a 60s supergroup called Blind Faith.

Diana:

The band was called Can't Find My Way Home.

Diana:

And as this is playing, we've got.

Diana:

Sam has laid Dean down in.

Diana:

They're back in the bunker, and he lays him down in his bed there and pours himself a whiskey because he's going to go find a summoning spell in the file dungeon and curse Crowley, because he needs Crowley.

Diana:

Crowley's one that got Dean into this, and he's gonna get him out.

Diana:

But Dean's.

Diana:

But Dean is already being visited by Crowley.

Diana:

Sam's summoning is unnecessary, if you will.

Liz:

Because, you know, that's what they do, Prince.

Liz:

You know, one of them dies, one of them calls on a demon to make a deal.

Liz:

And that's been.

Liz:

That's just so.

Liz:

So expected.

Liz:

It's been done.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

And.

Liz:

And Crowley promises that he didn't know this was going to happen.

Liz:

And.

Liz:

And he never lied.

Diana:

But.

Liz:

But he did admit.

Liz:

Omit one Kane story.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

That, you know, the mark, he.

Diana:

He had to take his own life with the blade because the mark never really let go.

Liz:

Because Kane didn't want it either.

Liz:

Kane didn't want to become a psycho killer either.

Liz:

And so he killed himself with his old.

Liz:

He shoved the donkey jaws in.

Liz:

Into his belly.

Liz:

But the mark was not done with him.

Liz:

And then Crowley takes out ODT and is like, dude, when I saw you walk away from a cheeseburger, I was like, oh, this could really be something.

Liz:

Dean Winchester refused a cheeseburger.

Diana:

He knew something was up, which we all knew something was up then.

Diana:

And he puts the ODT in Dean's hand and starts telling Dean that it's not death that you're feeling.

Diana:

It's just a new kind of life.

Diana:

You just need to open your eyes and see what I see and feel what I feel.

Liz:

And let's go take a howl at that moon.

Liz:

And Dean opens his eyes and what are they, Diana?

Liz:

What are his eyes?

Diana:

They're black demon eyes.

Diana:

Oh, my God.

Diana:

Dean's a demon.

Diana:

And cut.

Liz:

And cut.

Liz:

And I.

Liz:

I remember watching that in.

Liz:

In real.

Liz:

In real time.

Diana:

Did you, like, throw your pillow across the room?

Liz:

Like, everyone was just like, what the.

Liz:

Just happened.

Liz:

What the.

Liz:

And was like, you can't end.

Liz:

You can't end with Dean being a demon like it was.

Diana:

But they did.

Liz:

They did.

Diana:

They did it.

Liz:

So let's talk about some cast people before we get into our season.

Liz:

Torture of Diana.

Diana:

Yes.

Diana:

Casting couch.

Diana:

It's the casting couch.

Liz:

Were they on that show that time with that guy?

Diana:

La la la la la la la la.

Diana:

Our seasonal.

Diana:

Seasonal torture.

Diana:

So our cast.

Diana:

Ingrid was played by Danielle Cremon.

Diana:

She's in a few episodes.

Diana:

She.

Diana:

Of Supernatural.

Diana:

She's also been in the:

Diana:

Neil, our.

Diana:

Our.

Diana:

Our angel that helped with the intercom was played by Shane Soldberg.

Diana:

last acting credit was around:

Diana:

He was Tom in all the Air Bud movies.

Diana:

He was a geek in Josie in the Pussycats and Jefferson in Agent.

Diana:

Cody Banks, our demon masseuse played by Alicia Perosa.

Diana:

Interestingly, she does a lot of voice work, which is extra funny because we talked about her.

Diana:

This character was a little breathy.

Diana:

And then Asriel, the mom angel who's guarding the playground.

Liz:

Pura's mom.

Diana:

Yeah, yeah.

Diana:

She was played by Kate Crutchlow in an episode of Smallville, Wayward Pines, and I Zombie.

Diana:

She was also the monorail mother in Tomorrowland.

Diana:

And then Pura was played by Jordan Ashley Olsen.

Diana:

Been in episodes of Fringe, several episodes of Once Upon a time.

Diana:

She's 40 now.

Diana:

Oh, God.

Diana:

And she was such a small child.

Liz:

I know.

Diana:

She's an adult.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

She does a lot of hall.

Diana:

She's done a ton of Hallmark, Continues to do a lot of Hallmark movies and shows.

Liz:

Good.

Diana:

Yeah, that's what we got.

Diana:

All right.

Liz:

And it's time.

Liz:

The time for the thing that we do.

Liz:

Every season.

Liz:

And that I love Dinah hates.

Liz:

And it is time for our trivia.

Liz:

It's season nine trivia make my game show voice and Lou Gehrig sound, sound, sound.

Liz:

All right, so in our first question in episode one of this season, we learned what important fact about Cass.

Liz:

Is it he has never seen Star Wars?

Liz:

He hates peanut butter.

Liz:

C, he is a boxer man.

Liz:

Or D, he wants to become a pizza delivery driver.

Diana:

Hey, it's pizza.

Diana:

No, it is.

Liz:

He is a boxer man.

Liz:

Because I am a perv.

Liz:

And this was when he went to wash his clothes in the laundry mat and he took all his clothes and he was down to his boxers.

Liz:

And they were not boxer briefs.

Diana:

They were white boxers.

Liz:

They were white boxers.

Diana:

Damn it.

Liz:

Bonus Question one.

Liz:

Angel did become the standout of this episode and inspired a meme on Tumblr.

Liz:

What angel was that from?

Liz:

That episode from episode one of the season.

Diana:

Oh, was it?

Diana:

It's the.

Diana:

It was the one from the wreck who had like the.

Diana:

Damn it.

Diana:

What's her name?

Liz:

No, there was not.

Liz:

It was not Hale.

Liz:

Hail.

Liz:

Hail did have the stumps like a.

Diana:

Crown of broken glass and stumps like it was something.

Liz:

So this is one of the angels that came a calling when Dean Winchester prayed really loud.

Diana:

Oh, the farmer angel.

Liz:

Yes.

Liz:

Tractor Angel.

Liz:

Tractor angel got his own Twitter account.

Liz:

He got his own Tumblr.

Liz:

I highly.

Liz:

The Tumblr is still up.

Liz:

You can go see the lovely, lovely memes of tractor Angel.

Diana:

Nice.

Liz:

Question number two in episode I think you should get points to that.

Liz:

You kind of got there.

Diana:

You have farm angels.

Diana:

Close enough.

Liz:

Number two, in episode two, the hunter Irv said he once hunted.

Liz:

What with Bobby and Saskatoon.

Liz:

A, four legged chupacabras.

Liz:

B, werewolf, Siamese twins.

Liz:

C, flying yetis.

Liz:

Or D, menopausal manicures.

Liz:

B, it was B, werewolf, Siamese twins.

Liz:

And one more bonus.

Liz:

When did Bobby tell that story?

Liz:

The answer is every time he drank Labats.

Diana:

That's right.

Liz:

Saskatoon.

Diana:

Saskatoon.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Freaking Canadian beers.

Diana:

Damn it.

Liz:

Okay, question three.

Liz:

In episode four, what ways had Dorothy already tried to kill the wicked witch?

Liz:

With decapitation, dousing with holy water, dousing with holy oil, or stake through a heart?

Diana:

Had she not or has she tried already?

Liz:

Had she tried.

Diana:

I thought she tried all.

Diana:

All of those, but not yet.

Liz:

No, she tried two of those.

Diana:

Okay, so she did not do.

Diana:

She did decapitation and holy water.

Liz:

She did.

Liz:

Those are the two she did.

Liz:

Question number four.

Liz:

The late great Leslie Jordan provided the voice for the animal billed as Gay Yorkie in episode five, Dog Dean.

Liz:

Afternoon The Yorkie saw everything and he will tell it.

Liz:

For what price was it?

Liz:

A, begging strips, B, sausages, C, a game of fetch, or D, a belly rub?

Liz:

D, it was and he wants it.

Liz:

Bitch, please.

Liz:

If I'm going to rat someone out, it's got to be worthwhile.

Liz:

I want a belly rub.

Liz:

Not from you, sweetie.

Liz:

From that big one over there.

Liz:

Question number five.

Liz:

In episode seven, Bad Boys, we learned that Dean spent some time at Sunny's home for Boys.

Liz:

While at school, he got awarded a championship plaque.

Diana:

For what?

Liz:

Woodworking, Wrestling, Dancing or making out?

Diana:

Wrestling.

Liz:

It was wrestling.

Liz:

,:

Liz:

So 420.

Liz:

Hitler's birthday.

Liz:

So sorry.

Liz:

That's what the things I always say when people say the other reason people know.

Liz:

420.

Liz:

All right.

Diana:

I was trained.

Diana:

I know I'm same.

Diana:

So it's just funny.

Liz:

Question number six.

Liz:

In episode 10, Road Trip, we meet the demon Cecily.

Liz:

Or Sicily Cecily, who works where Is it the gas and sip?

Liz:

The CIA, NSA or the DMV?

Diana:

The NSA.

Liz:

It is the NSA.

Liz:

Yes.

Liz:

Demons run the NSA.

Diana:

I mean, that tracks, right?

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Question number seven.

Liz:

In episode 13, the Purge, Sam pretends to be.

Liz:

What?

Liz:

What does Sam pretend to be?

Liz:

To figure out the mystery of the pistaco.

Liz:

Does he pretend to be an FBI agent, a doctor, a yoga instructor, or a pilot?

Liz:

Yoga instructor and an FBI agent have wrong.

Diana:

Damn it, you're right.

Diana:

Technically, both.

Liz:

He was Agent Freely in this and the world's worst yoga instructor.

Diana:

Yeah, very disappointing yoga Instructor.

Liz:

Question number eight.

Liz:

In episode 15, Thin man, we learned that Sam got taken to the ER on Dean's handlebars.

Liz:

Because obviously John Winchester was not around.

Liz:

After he got dressed up as who?

Liz:

And jumped off the shed.

Liz:

Batman.

Liz:

Superman, Peter Pan or Captain America?

Diana:

Batman.

Liz:

That is correct.

Liz:

Dean jumped off first dressed as Superman.

Liz:

But we all know Superman can fly.

Liz:

Batman cannot.

Liz:

He just has a utility belt and a lot of money.

Liz:

All right, number nine.

Liz:

We go to a head shop in episode 18, Metafiction.

Liz:

What is its name?

Liz:

Ian's Herbal Remedies.

Liz:

The Green Zone.

Liz:

Have a Heart or Earthly Delights.

Diana:

I'm gonna go with Earthly delights.

Liz:

This was a question that we had in episode 18, Metafiction.

Liz:

When I quizzed you on the show and you got it wrong then and you got it wrong again.

Liz:

It is Ian's Herbal Remedies.

Liz:

Because the head shop juicing was Ian.

Diana:

I just block out head shops.

Diana:

Apparently.

Liz:

Apparently.

Liz:

I was giving you a chance to redeem yourself.

Diana:

That's so I Knew it was wrong.

Diana:

Could you tell the, like, the confidence with that?

Diana:

I said with.

Diana:

I'm like, I'm going to get this wrong.

Diana:

We're just going to say it.

Diana:

Doing it.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

All right, and the final question.

Liz:

What is the code word used Both an episode 10 Road Trip and episode 21 King of the Dam, to signal Dean or Sam to.

Liz:

To drop everything and run?

Liz:

I'm not giving you multiple jokes.

Diana:

The word you can't say, can't say it.

Liz:

It is Poughkeepsie.

Diana:

Poughkeepsie City.

Diana:

Poughkeepsie.

Liz:

Poughkeepsie.

Diana:

I like it.

Liz:

And it's.

Liz:

We will never have that code word.

Liz:

And it's like, I'm like, it's like I'm in hell.

Diana:

Yeah.

Liz:

I'm in trouble.

Liz:

And Diana's just like, I can't say it.

Liz:

So that wraps up season nine's trivia.

Diana:

I did okay.

Diana:

I did better than some years.

Liz:

You did.

Liz:

I think you did pretty good.

Liz:

Maybe.

Liz:

Maybe you took some time to study this the season, but.

Liz:

So final thoughts on Dean being a demon.

Diana:

Well, I'm going to.

Diana:

First off, I'm very disappointed that we did not get any clarity on what's going on with heaven and hell actual function.

Diana:

I think that that was a little bit of a.

Diana:

I can handle a cliff.

Diana:

A cliffhanger.

Diana:

But that feels like more than a cliffhanger.

Diana:

It feels like they forgot to address it.

Diana:

That's what it felt like.

Diana:

I'm not saying they did or didn't.

Diana:

I'm not saying it's not going to come up on next season.

Diana:

I'm just saying right now it feels like it was just an oversight to.

Liz:

Not address well how was functioning.

Liz:

It was just dysfunctional because they were having the fight between Abaddon and in Crowley.

Liz:

So things are working fine in.

Liz:

In hell.

Liz:

It's just heaven.

Diana:

Heaven.

Diana:

Right.

Liz:

So.

Liz:

Although, like, I'm not sure how that works if a soul goes to hell, like, is that fine?

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

So it's.

Diana:

It's just so that I think.

Diana:

Feel like there should.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Also, like, clarification on that little bit.

Diana:

Of clarity about what's happening in, like, the afterlife.

Diana:

Just a little bit.

Diana:

I don't need a full explanation.

Diana:

Just like, cool.

Diana:

Have hell souls are going again.

Diana:

Cool, cool, cool.

Diana:

Okay.

Diana:

That's like, I don't know.

Diana:

And then.

Diana:

So, yeah, I found that like a little bit like, give me something.

Liz:

A loose thread.

Diana:

Yeah, I didn't like that.

Diana:

I don't mind like, once again, I.

Diana:

I don't love a cliffhanger, but I fully understand the importance of a good cliffhanger.

Diana:

And I.

Diana:

Yeah, that was my annoyance.

Diana:

But I will say that, like, I also don't trust Metatron, so I'm terrified that they locked him up instead of murdering his dumbass.

Diana:

Even though I'm not gonna root for murder.

Diana:

I don't think it counts if it's an angel.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

Anyways, it's.

Diana:

So that was a little bit questionable to me.

Diana:

I was like.

Diana:

I mean, but it's kind of weird how you just, like, murder him if he's just, like, standing there and they've already captured him.

Diana:

It's kind of awkward.

Diana:

So that was a lot.

Diana:

I don't.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

I feel like, what, is Crowley just gonna go, like, tell Sam?

Diana:

Like, by the way, already did.

Diana:

Took care of him, but he's.

Diana:

He's a demon now.

Diana:

Have fun with that.

Diana:

Bye.

Liz:

No, they're gonna go howl at that moon.

Diana:

I know, but Sam's summoning Crowley.

Diana:

Doesn't he have to go?

Liz:

No, I guess so.

Liz:

He's just downstairs.

Diana:

Hey, I'm already here.

Diana:

Bye.

Diana:

Like, I don't know.

Diana:

Or does it count?

Diana:

Is he close enough?

Diana:

It's like, this counts as summoning.

Liz:

I'm summoned.

Liz:

Yeah, I'm already here.

Liz:

I think so.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

Interesting.

Diana:

I felt like.

Diana:

I wondered if we were gonna get any wrap up of Kane showing back up.

Diana:

We did not this season.

Liz:

No hot cane yet.

Liz:

No.

Diana:

Which I thought was interesting, too.

Liz:

Kind of like, take away my hot cane.

Diana:

In my head, we were gonna have a cane appearance in this episode.

Diana:

I don't know why.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

In my head, I was gonna have a.

Liz:

I'm gonna stop there.

Diana:

And then the.

Diana:

The whole, like, Metatron making people love him stuff was super disturbing.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

In general, mob mentality.

Liz:

Worshiping somebody as a messiah figure is generally just.

Diana:

Just.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

Mob mentality.

Diana:

Like, they're killing people within, like, minutes.

Diana:

Like, that's a lot.

Liz:

Yeah.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

So, yeah, that's.

Liz:

In general culture are not great.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

It's a fast cult starting.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

But, yeah, so that's.

Diana:

There we go.

Diana:

I don't know.

Liz:

Any.

Liz:

Any predictions for.

Liz:

For season 10?

Diana:

Well, so one bad thing in my position coming in is that, like, I know Dean Winchester is not dead forever because you could be a demon for.

Liz:

The rest of the series.

Liz:

You don't know that.

Diana:

I didn't say that.

Diana:

I said dead.

Diana:

I know he's not dead.

Diana:

So I Knew something was gonna happen.

Diana:

Right.

Diana:

Because I know there is a series and I've seen enough.

Diana:

Well, I've not watched it or to know story or characters or anything like that.

Diana:

I'm aware that Dean Care is Legends.

Liz:

And Ackles had a job for the next five years, correct?

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

So he's there seeing like a bunch a million memes from the last season.

Diana:

Because how do you not if you do social media in this?

Diana:

So, like, I had an awareness, so I knew like something was going to happen.

Diana:

And I've seen some pictures float around of Dean with demon eyes.

Diana:

And we've had him as a demon briefly before.

Diana:

So yeah, I kind of was like.

Diana:

This was shocking, though.

Diana:

Not what I expected.

Diana:

Not what I expected this episode to end.

Diana:

And I don't know how to predict what's going to happen.

Diana:

Like, is it going to be secret?

Diana:

Is he gonna be a secret demon?

Diana:

Or is he gonna be like an.

Liz:

Out in the open demon?

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Closet demon.

Liz:

I don't.

Liz:

Yeah, I don't think Dean would ever do anything softly.

Diana:

That's true.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

I don't know.

Diana:

That's exciting.

Diana:

How long do people have to wait?

Diana:

I mean, like, what was it, like a full on, like a four to six month?

Diana:

Like, wait, after this, it was the traditional in.

Liz:

You know, you had the summer break and then you.

Liz:

And then you had a season start or you know how television used to go when there was regular television.

Diana:

I know.

Diana:

And you're mad when people drop three episodes at a time.

Diana:

But then like the se.

Diana:

Like the next season takes forever.

Diana:

It feels like sometimes it can be like over a year sometimes till the next season.

Liz:

Sometimes they can be over a year.

Diana:

I don't like that.

Liz:

Yeah.

Diana:

But.

Diana:

Yeah, so.

Diana:

No, I thought it was.

Diana:

Look, I mean, intrigued to see what's going to happen with Castiel.

Diana:

I have a feeling that he's going to kick it up in heaven for a minute.

Liz:

And then they had to wait until October.

Liz:

So.

Liz:

,:

Liz:

,:

Diana:

Five months.

Diana:

Brutal.

Liz:

That's brutal.

Liz:

So trying to get all the spoilers, all the pictures, all the.

Liz:

All the hot goss before it dropped.

Diana:

Yeah, but.

Diana:

Yeah, no, I'm.

Diana:

I'm excited, actually.

Diana:

I mean, I think it's a.

Diana:

I think we've gotten a really good.

Diana:

For me.

Diana:

Not that we've gotten.

Diana:

I mean, I've very.

Diana:

I mean, very much enjoy the show, obviously.

Diana:

I think it's a really exciting part point in the series, if that makes sense.

Diana:

Yeah.

Diana:

Yeah, that's.

Diana:

I guess that's kind of my observation at this moment.

Diana:

I think it's an exciting point in the series, so I'm excited to see what season 10 brings.

Liz:

Yep.

Liz:

So on that note, I think, I think we'll close it out.

Liz:

Cheers.

Liz:

Jerk.
